I need your guys help I have a square nose superjet and have spent winter doing footholds turf and carbonfibering the engine bay as seen in users rides. Now I am having engine issues and have talked to roger about what i can do. He gave me to options sell the ski and put the engine money into a roundnose. But i love this ski and don't want to let her go just yet. Or he can build me a 760 motor using my 650 electrics ,cases ect. I have a coffmans exhaust and a msd enhancer so these will work on the motor. the ski has s/s prop ride plate and scoop grate. What do you guys think 760 build or new ski if it is a new ski it wont be this summer.

Thats a tough one man!! I think if you do go round nose you wont regret it and you certainly wont look back.
I guess there a certain amount of attachment you get to a ski aye?

I sold my Square Nose a few years back now and Im glad I did, the round nose is a lot better ski.

You could build a 760 for your square nose and in a year or so do a transplant into a round nose?? That way you will have a tough round nose and a 701 square nose!

what is the 'issue' your are having with the engine? is it blown up/damaged? or you just after more power?

It's low on compression and I wont more power and a nice strong motor. Im thinking if it needs a topend rebuild I had might as well go big my only concern and rogers as well we don't know what condition the crank is in.

probably best to pull it to pull it to bits and see what condition of everything is...then decide from there...

I agree with Knoxie on that one. My crank was a mess when I pulled mine to pieces and it ended up costing a fair bit more than I had originally intended on spending.
Actually my whole engine was a mess and cost way more than I had intended! lol

Roger could be right about spending the money on a new ski rather than the motor. A stock 701 will be alot stronger than your 650 and you still have the pipe etc from the 650 to give the 701 a couple of tickle ups.
