40:1 is fine i actually run my boats at 32:1 I will see if i can dig up the article for you on oil ratios they got a 16% increase by running more oil
i have an 8mm stroker in my superjet Who cares about the carbon footprint Mine is a size 18 here is that article http://www.bridgestonemotorcycle.com/do ... remix6.pdf
personally i use any oil as long as it has a tc3 rating to get a tc3 rating the oil has to blend with other tc3 oild so its not going to be an issue with changing oils I just buy my oil from a servo when i buy my petrol
..thanks for that article wax... I read the whole 6 pages. I notice it was published 30 years ago (1978 date at bottom page), do you think it still holds true with modern oil technologies and the synthetics in the market place today?... certainly yamaha wasn't making jet-skis then... and castor oil?
yes i know its old i still believe it holds true My skis feel much better and freeer when i run 32 :1 over 50:1
is there much to do in carb adjustment running so much richer? - I try it out. ... obviously must be piece of mind to have more oil in engine too
