    Hey Guys,

Just getting into stand ups and have started with a square nose superjet.

    Specs as im told...

    Riva Red pipe
    Carbon tech reeds
    hot rods crank
    180psi compression (skimmed head?)
    ported
aftermarket carb (reverse jetted) (I think)

was told its a 701 however I think that's bored to 701 not stock.

    head (64u)
    cylinder (6m6)
    case(61x)

Now im pretty sure 6m6 is a 650 cylinder. Which leads me to believe that its been bored to 701.
And 6m6 cylinders are supposed to have pretty small/crap port chambers correct?

Ok question time. Given the mods listed above. Is there any point in putting in a 61x cylinder in it?
Ie will there be much of a power difference?

Intended use is to be a muck around surf ski. Not flat out racing.

    Cheers,
    Johnny

Boring a 650 out to 701 will take it to pretty much its last bore so after this you need a 61x.
If its going sweet just ride it and enjoy
When its time for a fresh'n up then look at dropping a 61x cyclinder on it with surf spec port job.

Roger at Jetwerx will be able to help you with all of the above.
