    does anyone remove these?

I am going to put in a second bilge pump and thought i'd remove this ti make room.

I've heard they are next to useless.

otherwise I am looking at reducing the length of the hose between the strainer and the wall out to the pump.

I removed mine cause it was super close to the dry pipe i running, i wouldnt shortn that hose as the shorter you make it the closer to the water line of the ski it will be and therfore easyr for it to sink.

i keep mine... and run twin bilge. it all helps - especially when eectrical faults occur ( as has happened recently).

I will add a scupper as well next time motor is out

Don't change the length and keep the vented elbow part high (important)

where is your 2nd one? I can't see an appropriate place for my 2nd without removing the stock bilge strainer...

... they both sit directly in front of the standard one (under short shaft slightly either side). you can get an aftermarket plate to hold them or glue to hull

Rip it out. It only works when your moving and is designed to move the trickle of water you would get in from riding the harbour on a choppy day.
Waste of space. Like madgets shit cluttering up my garage!
