Me personally id go for the round nose. There is a bunch of them on Trade me at the moment for not too bad money. Some are even highly modified.
    Ask Knoxie what he reckons.

    Hey Dude!
Yea most people go for the round-noses ...i guess cause of the looks and because they are newer so easier to find one thats in good condition....however the squarenose is still good if you want something a bit cheaper....
    - the hulls (bottom half) between superjets are all the same (except 2008) but the squarenose still seems to handle a bit differently ...i think it must be to do with the pivot point of the pole or the weight balance ...not too sure.
-Also the sparenose hulls seem to be stronger than round-noses

    - Most parts are interchangable between square-nose and round-nose so if you do change to a round-nose you can swap-over parts that you have.....exhaust, MSD ignition, intake grate, rideplate, prop, etc etc.

Buy a 'ski with the $$$ already spent.

I find I can typically get a comprehensively modified 'ski for not much more than a stocker, or near stock model. Sometimes I'll get something that's loaded (but well used) and transfer the good gear over to a stock minter with the stock gear going back on to the well used example (then sell it).

This way I've ended up with a bunch of 'ski's with all the fruit that have cost me next to zip. You've got to have a nose for a bargain, but it can be done!
