Hey all. I've got a mate living in Ohope, and hes gotten himself a ski. Hes obviously dead keen to come and fang it with us and learn the ropes. Does anyone know of a decent half way spot to ski between there and Auckland? I'm not tooo keen on committing to the full 5 hour trip to Ohope! I was thinking one of the Rotorua lakes. I've heard good things about Lake Tarawira?
Not quite half way but Matakana Island next to The Mount is a top notch spot. Theres a wicked crew down there too , Hit up Magnum P.I. , DanW , tofa , sox , Paula etc
