Hey fellas, im currently in the process of swaping parts out of an old sqaurenose into a round nose hull, ive noticed that the intermediate housing has a different bolt pattern (1990-93 SN have a diff pattern) so im gonna have to get a newer housing, Can anyone on here tell me if the mid shaft out of the old sqaurenose will fit this new housing or will i have to get another shaft as well?? Hey Scotty, I did exactly the same conversion you are doing and the only difference in the mechanicals is the ride plate, water box and mid-shaft housing, the mid-shaft itself is the same. I think the steering cable and throttle cable may be different, but they still fit OK.
No worries dude ... FYI the mid shaft housing you are after is also used in lots of other skis if you know of one being wrecked: FX-1, Blaster 1 & 2, raider, venture, GP etc.
