1995 Yamaha FX1 Bought it back in Feb, had it 3-4 weeks and it threw a rod smashing one cylinder and right through the bottom of the crank case. Piston met head. Lost a few mods coz of this! Bought another ski as a donor while I look for a third engine... Now has: Jetted carbs 180psi head Alloy flywheel Factory B Pipe Timing advance Stainless Prop Aftermarket bars When I find another engine I will copy the port job from the broken one, and get new domes for the Riva head! Wouldn't start so pulled the engine apart to find that it had a rusty crank due to a shitty rebuild by Titty1 (Trademe). Now has: Rebuilt & Jetted carbs Stock head Alloy flywheel Factory B Pipe Mild port job Boyesen Pro Series Carbon Reeds HotRod crank Adjustable Rev Limit Stainless Prop UMI Racing Bars Pro-tec Intake Grate Riva Rideplate Stainless Prop
Yeah thats the other ski I had when I found it cheaper to get my engine parts by buying another ski... This is getting the new footholds. The squares were in there already - bastards on ya feet!
Rumble, is that a dedicated FX1 'B' Pipe or a Superjet one? If it's a Superjet one, were there any fitment issues? Mate has an FX1, wants a pipe (preferably a 'B'), but the proper FX1 version is a touch hard to find! Cheers.
