As above I have pulled off my stator cover (ski cut out dead..had water in there on my fx1) it's about a table spoon worth of oil... Is this a leaking front seal?? Cheers guys

    Definitely front seal leaking.

Only ever use OEM seals as this tends to happy very quickly with aftermarket versions.

Not a major to do at all (provided you have the right tools). Roger will definitely have a set of OEM crank seals for sure. But if you get stuck I have a set here as well.

You need to pull your motor, whip the front cover off, remove the flywheel and stator plate, remove the starter motor and remove the coupler off the rear of the crank. Then flip it upside down and remove the bed plates and the 8 bolts holding the cases together. Part the cases and then you can replace the front and rear seals without having to split the top end of your motor.

You will need a flywheel puller, torque wrench and possibly a butane torch if your coupler requires some heat to come off.

As Dick Webb posted its really not a big job....But if its only a table spoon over how long?...Just keep riding till you need to pull your motor for something else and do them then.
