I bought this from trademe a couple of weeks before xmas to replace my 93 blaster, it looked like a minter with factory pipe and 'recently rebuilt engine' but it seized a week later :(
I pulled the donk out and sent it off to Roger for a rebuild and a few upgrades, it sucked being without a ski for most of January but i'm making up for it now!

Full rebuild with Hotrods Crank and Pro-x Pistons
    Freestyle porting
ADA Head with 35cc domes (185psi)
    Factory B Mod Pipe
    Dual Cooling
    Jetworks Flow Control Valve
    Solas Concord 14/18 Prop
    Riva Groovy Rideplate
    Works Scoop Grate
    Hydroturf Mats

    Thanks :)
The rear piston and head dome had some nasty pitting from detonation so i assume it was just too lean, not sure whether it was tuning on the carbs or an air leak but both carbs got rebuild kits and retuned after that

I hope you ported it at the same time

    Case porting ??
    or is that happening next

The cases havent been touched, i'm pretty stoked with the power at the moment it hits hard in the midrange but could do with a little more punch down low... the prop is too high pitched for the surf but I dont want it revving its ass off on flatwater rides so dont want to change that if I can help it.
I think next on the list are MSD Enhancer to up the timing in the lower rpms and lightened flywheel to help it get to the phat midrange quicker.

What settings are on your b-pipe
You can find a crap load by getting those right

The prop you have will be fine

Msd will be a good add on
Be careful about the flywheel lightening as they are prone to cracking and sawing of the front of your engine

V-force reeds will add to the low end hit on your ski as wel

3/4 out on top, middle and bottom closed
pipe doesnt seem all that hot so could probably be closed up some more?

I am wary of flywheel lightening - was planning on sending it to Roger to do as he seems to know his stuff. Anyone else had theirs lightened? was it worth it?

V-force reeds look interesting, might have to add them to the list of winter jobs

Your motor will run flat at that setting
go for bottom open 3/4 and then top and mid cloased
the b-pipe is all about low end and when you have the water settings to give you more low end they go flat far to quick
The flywheel lightening gives you a small boost but its not alot and its also kinda uncool when it saws the front of your engine
V-force will give you a hit that will put a smile on your dial

    thanks wax :)
I've got a commercial tiny tach on its way so i'll wait until that arrives before playing with the screws, it'll be good to have some numbers to confirm performance changes

    No problem
A tiny tach is a great thing it will allow you to actually get data and prove if the parts are making a difference as well

Iv go both a lightened flywheel and V force reeds and its break neck snappy! lol And iv got a stupid low pitched prop which kind helps! lol
