Having a strange issue with my ski at the moment, hopefully someone can help. Only seems to occur when the ski warms up. Runs like a dream for 10-15 minutes, then will bog down, miss etc, generally just run like a bag of balls.

Generally will keep running (like crap, but running..) , but the last couple of times has konked out completely and cannot get it started again. Have to wait an hour or two for it to cool down, then it's away again.

Pulled carbs apart and cleaned them out, has good compression on both cylinders. New plugs. Tried an (unknown condition) cdi and coil, didn't seem to make any difference.

Any ideas? Looking toward the stator.

This problem has happened to a lot of people. It is one of the windings in the stator. Some one will no which one it is.

I had the same problem on a blaster it was blocked water holes in the exhaust pipe so it was getting hot and the over heat switch was kicking in

Do you run a riva pipe. If so check the smell hole under the top cooling fitting should get a 3 mm allen key through it. Mine has been blocked in the past.

    Thanks team,

Steveo/Flan - no temp sensor, so shouldn't be an issue. Running a blaster b-pipe.

Well the next step is to go back to basics take it out till it plays up when it does back to shore check to see if all clys have spark you need to determine if it's electrical or fuel it sounds like something is braking down when getting hot

Charge coil on the stator tested perfectly while cold.
Had it rewound anyway and seems to have solved the issue..
