Hey, I've got a Kawa 750sxi pro and found sometimes it tends to struggle gaining traction so to speak after landing in the water.

I was wondering if a aftermarket intake grate might help cure this?

    Cheers

Might pay to check your wear ring in the jet unit too... Should be minimal clearance between the impellor and housing e.g. less than 1mm (less the better)
You dont have to replace it straight away (over 1mm) but just be aware its on its way! If seen up to 5mm still (just) move the ski...

I had a similiar problem with my 650 when I bought it, checked all of the above, has a scoop grate and skat trak VP prop so couldnt work it out, even pulled the jet unit down and checked the stators and repaired one which didnt fix it, ended up putting more sealant around the intake area where the unit sits againts the hull in the curved part, and gave the grate a mad silicon up and bingo, only cavitates at about 20ft now

I'm pretty sure the impeller unit is sweet.
Just need to find a decent intake grate for it by the sounds.

    Cheers for the info.
