Hey all. I'm beginning to feel a tad underwhelmed by my FX1's level of grunt. Engine runs 100%, but I've gotten very used to it, and am looking to hot it up a bit. How do factory pipes (or something similar) affect the fuel consumption? I'm getting about 2 hours of hooning around to a tank. How much of a dent does a pipe make to the 'economy'? Cheers.

Economy will improve as the pipe is more efficient

Ahhh thats what I wanted to hear! I had a hunch that might be the case, since an expansion chamber essentially stuffs the wasted fuel/air charge back into the cylinder. Great. It seems the Factory pipes are the way to go? They need a bit of a tap with a hammer to fit an FX1 don't they?

it might be more efficient...but you probably find you will still use more gas as you will use the power you gain :D ...ie accelerate harder etc

yup factory pipes are the goods , good power gain and are sturdy...their used to be a specific FX-1 chamber ...dont think they are available anymore...but im sure you could get the Mod chamer to fit...

I normally have stock but sold out till mid october, when i return from the States.

You will be able to make the Mod chamber fit as Knoxie has advised.

Coffman sizzler pipe will fit nicely also if someone has one laying around.

i had no problem fitting a mod chamber in my fx-1 ,just needs some rubber between gas tank to stop the rubbing as its quite close.

pm me as i have a used b pipe in good condition and a fx1stainless prop if you are keen
