how many people are running dual cooling? im running a standard 701 and putting a b pipe on at the moment. do i need to run dual cooling or is the 1 cooling line enough?
Exactly what Norm said, but you can also drill and tap the manifold and put a T in the single line from the pump. This way you get more even cooling to both cylinders. Not sure if everyone would agree but I reckoned it seemed like a good idea.
Single cooling is fine until you suck up a piece of shell and go into limp mode (assuming you have the heat sensor still in place)... Dual cooling is cheap peace of mind...
were is the best place to take the 2nd cooling line of the pump? on the stator part on the left side? where it looks like hose tail could be taped in to?
Hey I just did this not long ago for my speedworx pipe, I have done what SI has said tapped into the other side of the pump and it seemed to work a treat. Tapped into there with a 1/4'' BSP 90deg tail Removed the stock venturi bilge and ran my new cooling line through there. I ran the new line just for the pipe and had the stock line for the engine, you have to add another pisser out the side too. Really easy mod to do. The pipe on single cooling just seemed to be way too hot and this seemed to fix that. Also while I had the exit nozzle off I bored the ID from 82 to 85mm and took out and filled the venturi hole.
