In NZ from what I hear they will take anyone to help boost the numbers. Possibly for nationals you may have to block them off with something so you cant use them. Thats from what I hear but I could be wrong tho
good luck trying to get hold of them i have sent several emails over the last couple of weeks with no reply
Who'd you email? (This may bite me in the arse cause it probably came through to me) To answer the topic - Yes you can race with footholds. Technically they aren't supposed to obstruct a normal stance and you have to temporarily fill them, ie fill them with a cheap foam and duck tape that shit in. However in saying that for club racing or a tour round it's not really enforced at all so just get out and race if you want. At nationals it would be however. Think it some safety issue where you could get you foot stuck then some munter mashes into you and you snap your lower leg in two.
Good one Norm. Haven't heard that before, like ever!!! What might be normal to you isn't exactly the norm, Norm.
