650-701 Build

Hey guys, can anyone tell me if 6m6 intake and exhaust manifolds bolt up to 61x Engine and also will 650 reeds fit 61x

The intake side (cases) is completely different, the exhaust is similar, however, the 61x has much larger exhaust ports.

er......a 62T intake is completely different

the clymer Yamaha book says they (6m6 & 61X) use the same : a type II
used on the 650 and the 701.


I think the reeds are bigger on 61X than a 6m6
...not sure if the reed cage plate is different...

...match your bpipe manifold to the size of your 61X cylinder exhaust ports for better flow
