I own the 2002 760. thats it in my avatar. ...it's a bummer I've only had it finished since summer. ... neva been raced, thrashed or crashed
I own it . I got it off Redtro last year. I don't have a good reason to sell it - just having a go ,as I wont be using it so much in a few months when the wife has a baby and was keen to do a custom 08/09 freeride ski build in the garage ( should be able to get a leave pass to go outside) . No point have two ski next summer that I can't ride every weekend. So if anyone is keen on the "once was" devil race ski ( 2 motors ago I hear) give me a PM
It looks good red for sure, dont know if an 08/09 ski is the best ski to do up for surf riding but its good if you ride mostly flat water.
I was keen to do an affordable version ( minus the big bore riva motor with twin 48mm power bombs) of Taylor Curtis's Wamilton ski, from the build articial in the oct/nov 2008 Personal watercraft mag. Is that hull not working out to well for freeriding?
i think the main prob with the 08'+ is the short steering cable the come with....it has about 20mm less throw than previous models...meaning you cant adjust for quick turn........seems people change to the older style cable and the older style pole too ( poles must have different spacing on the cable mount)
The 08 09 uses the FX 1 pole top cast piece which is 2 inches shorter and a FX 1 steering cable. Shorter throw.
