That looks like a good helmet, one thing to watch out for is cheap china made ones that do not conform to any saftey standards, I had one and it sucked ass. I would say buy it, for that price u cant go wrong

Depends how much you value your face but i'd go for full face. They are a bit colder and wetter but there are a few cut chins mashed lips and I think one guy even knocked a tooth or two out which that could have been prevented...

Yeah, I had an off road motorcycle helmet - it gets way too waterlogged and heavy, feels like its gonna snap ya neck!!

I bought a protec one, its good as its light and has the ear flaps that prevent ear damage - but I should have just bought a full face one from the start so I wouldn't recommend it, I've had some really close calls with the ride plate and need to splash out on a lightweight full face helmet before I do some real damage.

  8. Yeah buy that 661 helmet. I have one similar and its the best helmet iv ever used - comfortable and real light-weight. I'd definately go full face cos it only take one crash to loose your front teeth without one

Just bought a Giro Remedy from Active Kiwi http://activekiwi.co.nz/remedy-p-554.html
Figured I'd stick some pics of it up.

I'd been to a few bike shops in the weekend and their selection was shit, most of the helmets were pretty basic with lots of metal bits to rust off. One crowd quoted $500 for a similar helmet - this one was $174 inc postage.

1.165 kg, fiberglass, polystyrene, removable liner and plastic latch.

This is what I got sent anyway, feels comfortable:
