wanted yamaha 500cc ignition coil or possibly cdi

anyone got a spare coil they want to sell? may look at yamaha 650cc coil too if i get no joy for the yamaha 500

after cdi now

i just tested coil on motorcycle and it fires fine so looks like i need a cdi

You should be able to test a coil using a multimeter too, about 0.078 - 0.150 ohms on the low end and i think 3.5 - 4.7 k ohms across the HT leads (with no caps) for yamaha 701 ... can't imagine it would be too different for a 500

thanks for that,yep need cdi,already pulled circuit board out ill try replacing transistors and caps,worked for a yamaha xt600 i had so may work again nothing to lose but few bucks in parts,but if anyone has one still let me know thanks
