Hi Aaron, ask around a bit as I know of a few baster 1's that completely blew their waterbox after going twin carb. (very loud). seems they had to change to the alloy waterbox or had one made up.
carbs yes you will blow standard water box two bits you will have two get one made refer you two my ski pictures made a stainless steel one two suit alot louder went well tho
Maybe you should leave it as it is after putting your pistons in back to front and concentrate on riding it.
