hey.....i got a brand new 'Hot Rods' (wiseco) Crank still in the box. PM me an offer or something if your interested.
Na no grenades! first motor problem in 6 years of riding so not to bad. just going to pull the thing down so i will let you know Knoxie cheers man
may be better than I first thought! Have the motor out and have pulled of the Fly wheel cover and found a screw and a bit of twisted metal. The knocking sound isn't from the crank it is from the timing plate floating around. Crank looks all good and turns round smoothly. the over heating problem must have been from the timing being to advanced. the cylinder bores are abit scuffed but they should clean up with a hone + new pistons and rings. question time is the bolt that holds on the flywheel right hand or left hand tread????? Cheers Tim
Make sure that twisted piece of metal isnt the retainer plate that holds the clutches in to the starter bendix. I had a twisted piece of metal in my flywheel once and it was the starter bendix flying to pieces! The starter still worked all good but the retainer plate had come off and smashed my charge and ignition coils to bits!
