Good luck. Wally had a 2 month wait for his from Japan. When you put the new ones in make sure you shim the engine to aline the coupling perfectly as this will stop your sharfts from sheering.
I think the reason the shafts failed was more because the engine jumps around like a mad bastard at idle than alignment - it has completely seperated the midshaft rubber from the housing as well. But it doesn't seem to have any shims on the pump, mid shaft housing and only one on the engine mounts; so that is also something to have a good look at too.
I reckon half the reason those blasters fuk those shafts is because the hull twists and moves from doing big jumps and the only logical way to stop it happening is to have the shaft housing float by not bolting it to the hull and just have is sicaflexed to it, bit dodgy though.
I was stripping the shafts every year. I got new shafts and got them lazer aligned. They have been in for three years now and no problem. Touch wood.
Hey Craig, hows the weather. Did Doug pop in yesterday for an XFT Pole bracket, i sent him your way. Norm.
