Talk to Andrew at jetskifishing.co.nz. He has two types for sale. Good guy to deal with and good price as well. All his site video are done on his camera's.
I brought tachyon xc off andrew at boat show i think i paid around 3 hun(boat show deal) including a 8gig micro sd card, it takes 2 aaa batts that lasts 2.5 hrs, water proof to 35meters, 640x480 vga 30 frames per sec in avi file format, 90deg lens and good sound. its quite small & light and i hardly notice it on my helmet, only flaws in my opinion is small black plastic ring around lens that catches and holds water round lens and not high defjavascript:emoticon(':?') A Gopro hd would be the shit. Anybody got any video editing software program they rate?
Us Chch boys use a gopro HD , its a good camera for onboard shots of urself riding but to film other people riding its not ideal as you have to be very close to the action due to the wide angle lens, very clear and compact and good sound quality tho. Im pretty happy with it
weve been using a panasonic FT1 camera .......just a normal digital cam (but waterproof) ......and retains a normal sort of camera angle (and zoom) the gopro HD / tacyon are probably alot easier to mount and less intrusive (not right in your face) ......but keep in mind the camera angle with some of them ....some have a real fish-eye type of effect ......can be good or bad depending on what you are trying to achieve here some pix of the panasonic mounted: http://www.dalusionfwx.co.nz/forum/view ... hlight=ft1
