Just got off the phone to Roger. Hes got a mate coming back from the states on the 16th December so hes bringing back a shit load of parts. Give Roger a call now if you have any parts you need before christmas holidays.

How much for the umi steering system?

Im not sure. I know gp engineering has them for $328 and that is without the turnplate. Thats a rip off if you ask me.

That is actually quite expensive. I cant remember what I paid for mine but it wasnt anywhere near that and it came complete with bars and ODI grips.

Yeah $328 for a little piece of aluminum and 2 bearings is daylight robbery.

I just checked my bill from Roger and he charged me $370 for the complete package. Turn plate, bearings and all the fittings plus a set of 0 degree bars and ODI Grips.
It was $250 for the steering and $120 for the UMI Bars and Grips.

Bear in mind though that Rogers prices are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. So it may be a little more expensive now that the kiwi dollar is a lil weaker.
Still not in the 300's just for the turn plate package I wouldnt think! lol

Hey chenzo when you were running your stock pole did the shorter turn plate make a big difference? What is the benefit of going with the umi steering vs. stock? is it easy to install the umi steering? Cheers

Its hard to explain the way the steering felt to be honest. Its alot smoother and more positive and gives you options to speed up or slow your steering reaction by changing the pull angle on the cable. It is easy to install, just need a drill and a few hand tools.
Its good too cos it has bearings instead of plastic bushes and you dont have to keep tweaking up your steering tension.

If you get a UMI pole you have no choice but to go with the steering as factory stuff doesnt fit.
