got some turn plate kits available. $80 25mm shorter than stock, Anodised grey with 316 stainless bolts etc. will work with stock clamps or UMI clamps. uses your stock OEM bushes. will work with , normal kinked bars, straight bars, riser bars, (and fat bars depending on the clamps you use)
got some of the older style ones in -50mm left too ( see third pic down = http://www.dalusionfwx.co.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=724 ) they use a basic 'big bolt' as pivot...not machined spigot like the newer ones above. will do these for $65
Steering hey i have a 96 super jet and has shorted pole and that but it just dosnt seem to turn like my mates 96 one,if I was to get one of these would this help me turn beter?? Im sure his is stock steering set up and im sure mine is too but cant seem to work it out as im newish to jet skis?? any help would be great Thanks Simon
I had a stock turn plate then went to one of these Knoxie specials, I thought the diffrence was huge. Way better for turns, stabs etc.
-UMI uses a bearing system, this one uses the standard plastic bushes. -UMI are the same length as a stock plate, this is minus 25mm. -Both have the cable mount further out (to give you more throw) -This can take a few different styles of bars, UMI are normally only for the kinked bars. -This one is a whole lot cheaper than UMI
Thanks dude is the bearing sytem on the UMI a +/- I would guess that bearing wont last long in salt water. Other than that im sold on yours. I will hit you up when I have some free cash and im back from Aus
yup will bolt up,... but 08 onwards have a shorter-throw steering cable, which just means you might not be able to use the outer-most cable mount point as the cable will max out first, ...but if you ever switch to a pre 08 cable you will be sorted for max steering throw
