Hey there im just after sum idea on how many people would be keen if I could offer some lightweight superjet chinpads? the same as the one on my ski that causes my pole to sit up in the pictures. These would be virtually identical in shape and size as the standard pad. The base would be constructed out of a thin layer of glass followed by a non porous foam and a one piece embroided cover. These would be sold for around $200 Please Post a reply if you could be interested. Cheers. Capt.
I may be interested, but don't put me down as definate yet. Erm isn't it the stronger pole spring that cuases the pole to be up in the air and feel lighter?
Yeah I'm keen, I been asking you guys for ages. I'd need to try one on my pole first to make sure it fits..
If you take your stock pole pad to an upholsterer and ask them to replace the foam with refrigeration foam that doesnt absorb water, it will weigh nothing. Costs about $20.
With the addition of a heavy duty spring to a stock pole and chin pad the pole will be alot lighter but wont be completely weightless. You can use the frige foam if u want im jus tossing up weather its worth making some proper lightweight chinpads. Capt.
hey guys id be keen to get into some light chin pads, get that pole a little higher. When you looking at doing this, do you have any ides on cost at this stage?
Hi Unsure of the final total cost at this stage. I will be looking at spitting a few of these out in about a months time in limited numbers just to see how much interest there is. Capt.
well i have the mold but i need to get a air powered cut off tool before i can go on. I need to lay up a couple of shells by myself so i can make any necessary alterations to the mold before i can hand the whole operation over to our local manufacturer. lately I have been working six days a week and riding on the 7th so havnt had a chance to look at it. Sorry for any inconvenience guys.
