Hey dudes, thought id better post on here sooner rather than later. Lurkers make forums boring!
Anyway pretty new to jetskiing just pre Easter got my first one, wr500! Laugh if you must but that thing is a weapon. More reliable than my friends seadoo and old enough to be rough with lol. Slow as shit thou, we like doing missions up the rivers around here and generally going places that probably are inappropriate on a boat.
Saw a bit of freestyle surfriding etc on YouTube thought it looked fun so I picked up a blaster. 96 with Riva pipe, groovy plate and worx 201 {well it did have a 201, it ripped off)
Recently I had an exhaust leak so I pulled the motor. Its like 10 bolts and a couple of hose clamps, wtf have I not been into this earlier. Sure beats pulling my car apart!
Am from Dunedin, well Milton actually, 20 mins to Henley!

Anyway hope everyone has a good long weekend.

    Rob

    welcome dude,

River ridings awesome, you can get to some wicked places while having a blast. Hard on the ski but if you have a shitter then go hard.

Get a wetsuit or even borrow one and go surf riding one day. I started like you riding rivers (still enjoy it) but the surf is something else!

    Enjoy the forum

    Thanks for all the welcomes.
Lol its been to cold when I've been riding lately to just practice and practice side mounts. Last time I rode it was a frost and I kept getting a sore head when I went fast! I've got a surf hood now 8)
  9. welcome! another blaster rider! im a newb here also.

its such a fun ski and i cant see ever getting anything else!

the side mount is vital in surf riding, especially on a big day. it can really save your arse!

i had my blaster split at the rear bondline from wave jumpin, so i decided to cut off the rear bumper rather than try to glass it all back together. it makes side mounting it alot easier because there is a shorter distance from the handlebars to the back of the ski. and if your vertically challenged like me 5'9" it really helps.

this has been a great forum and everyone seems very cool here, gonna stay around a while!
