Does anyone know anything about the history of the fx1 poleski listed on trade me with the red bull kawazaki ski? I noticed the fx1 has got footholds for freestyle. Thinkin of buying it. any info be appreciated. Cheers.
i can tell you about the current owner, (he tells me and it all seemd to add up) he bought them both about a year ago so he could have some bonding activity with his son, only apprently his relationship with his son got worse and this didnt happen, he says he hasnt used either of them at all and this is pretty evident by the flat batterys, stiff steering joint and engine cover that felt like it hadnt been off for quite some time, so the guy knows absoloutely nothing about skis at all. other than that it appears in ok conditoion but i didnt really check out the fx1. i went there to get the sxi. a bit of lube everywhere, a battery & new fuel brought the sxi back to what it should be and i imagine the fxi will need much the same. on the bright side he is negotiable when you're there and point out all the things that are going to need repairing.
I might sell my FX1 - look it up in the users ride section - if you are interested send me a PM. Goes hard and I kinda want to keep it for a spare, but could also use the money for another toy... Or else if you feel like a project I've got an FX1 in bits... Can supply you with most bits minus the engine (You could get a fresh engine for it and you will know its mint). Will need a paint - its all sanded back.. Got a lot of potential if you are prepared to spend some time.
