We need freestyle surf riders that are keen on really stepping it up and helping Myself, Norm and Lucas put on a sick freestyle demonstration at Piha beach. Scheduled for the weekend of the 30th, We have been asked to put on an impressive routine to help hype up the Surf Lifesaving long boat competition nationals. Sounds like a good event!! Be great to see some of thos back flips on TV. I have a perforated ear drum from yesterday's ride, so if the heals in time im keen. :lol:
O.K Peeps, Dont get too excited, just spoke to the event organiser in charge of the surf lifesaving champs and the whole event and at this stage the Council will not give him resource consent to have any Jet Skis or Thundercats at the beach as there is a lot going on that day there. He is having a meeting with the Council cunts tonight and a decision will be made so everyone cross their fingers, will update tommorrow.
is this still going ahead? you guys should come along even if it's not - its awesome watching these surf boats get nailed. Last i checked there was a big wave forecast (3m swell! :shock: ) so should be absolute carnage check out the TV screen at Burgerfuel at the moment to see some footage of last year... I'll be there rowing for Piha
As far as I know the council said no, if there is 3m swells forecast then we will be riding in them, just not at Piha.
