Hey bro which end of Matakana do you ride? We have thought about launching on the north end' just south of waihi, before but are unsure if there is a suitable ramp there? Also it would tend to be quite shallow in the surf wouldnt it?
Just launch at the mount and ride around the corner or launch at the power boat club in Tauranga and go across the channel, takes 5 minutes.
yea we take off from tga mariner but you can go in from bowintown and there is a nice camp ground too. its not the deepest but you can still go big without hitting the bottom.come down some time and we will take you on a tour

yea mate no worries should be able to sort a good day of riding then maybe have a few beers and tell tall stories of that day we went real big :lol:

If you guys are keen for Tga one time, you are all welcome to stay at my bach... Its in Pukehina (30 mins south) and only small but there is heaps of floor space! Sure, just give me a week or two to get my gearbox back in... And a warm ass wetsuit as it will be FREEZING down there...
lol yea your right mate bit bloody cold here. but if no surf we can hit some rivers down that way that iv wanted to do for a bit now.
just got back a quick hit at the island nice clean waves bout 6-8 foot with the odd few over 10 foot. hows the surf round the rest of the country been with all these storms? anyone been out this week?
It would be mean to make a weekend of it late this year when it warms up again head down to the batch friday afternoon, ski saturday and sunday, come home sunday night how many ppl would be keen for something like that??
