I was working in takapuna today and stopped by the beach on my way back to check if there was any swell made from the strong onshore winds that whipped up yesterday and there were good solid 1m face waves that were about 4 sets deep. choppy as hell but made me think that orewa could be a sweet ride this weekend if the wind would stop or swing around on thursday or friday.
Yeh Capt - keen for a local ride, fingers crossed for some good east coast conditions this weekend.....
Yea guys load up and head down this way cause if the surfs no good after this rain some of the rivers round here will be pretty good.
Not sure I could prolly only make sunday cause have work on saturday and a doo on sat night. might be too much of a mish we will see how things pan out.
Damn sorry tofa im jus not guna make it this weekend ay but I will make an effort to get down your way soon. The conditions look pretty shitty on both coasts for this weekend so on sunday me and danger are just guna head to orewa for a play just cause it is the only beach with less then .5m of chop. hopefully if we are lucky there will be enough swell left to do some jumps. if you are keen to join us give me a txt or call on 0211849797 as the time we go will depend on weather, enthusiasm etc.
