Been out on my SJ twice over the weekend tho no major rush just want to make a good job of it and do it once with the best parts I can.

Very nice Dan. The finish inside that hull looks mint. Better make sure you've got all your engine and bits polished to match. :)

Awesome news today from the babydicks at NZ couriers. The parts I have been waiting on are lost last scanned on friday the 20th and not seen since. And yes the are "looking" for them which means they are doing nothing but if it gets scanned again they will call me. :? WTF Hurry up and wait.....

so what is the update ...have you got that thing together yet .....
should have the front water splash guard in a few weeks, makes a big difference when ridding , also make sure you only use small throw on the cable at the steering nut you don't need big steering angles on your nozzle as the FP1 turns hard ...

All right finally got this ski into the water on Sunday can’t believe how long it took me to get it sorted in the end it just took me hitting the bottom again on my SJ last Saturday so I decided Sunday riding would have to become Sunday Ski build day.
The bulk items pump motor exhaust all went in pretty easy the pump and midshaft are predowled so they are easy to lignup as was the engine on its rickter bedplates I did need to do a bit of shimming on though and really tried to take the time to get it all right. Bummer I rushed the solas pump together after changing driveshaft’s (ordered the wrong one) and fucked a bearing on the first ride!. Glad it was a cheap easy fix (thanks Norm).
I thought I was going to have a shit of a time with the Limited chamber after how much I hate doing the Mod pipe in my SJ but with the extra width it was to easy so was the tank.
Ive taken a few shots along the way so will try a post a few up as well as some shots with Tims FR2 and my 06 side by side for comparison.
Apart from my pump Issue I was really happy with the First ride Turns hard but the rear still slides well when asked I was worried about this as the hull is 08 based but its not an issue.
845 engine is going to hurt me real bad but hay I will be smiling.
And YES Norm and Mark it has been upside down.
Another tank and half of fuel through the motor and its on
Thanks again to everyone thats helped me along the way its been awesome

Heres some shots with tims FR2. The skis are at different hights on the stands but are very similar in overall lenght. FP1 is wider at the front and narrower in the rear than a FR2. Trays are both wide at the rear been a while since we took these so cant remember all ins and outs think FP1 has a bit more width at the front and a bit less at the rear? Tim what was it?

Shot of the pump area and what I did with the hood latches When I put them on I machined up some spacers so if the hood ever gets a bit loose I can machine a ml or 2 off. And I didnt like the ss ones that came with the pole bracket
