Any one know what the going price for a 760 with electrics is worth?

Also what kind of power upgrades have people noticed with the swap. I have yet to ride a 760 SJ so cant realy tell.

Im going to sell my WB2 and was thinking it may be a good idea to swap the engines over... Altho the 700 was rebuilt a couple of years ago. 760 is in unknowen condition.

I think the biggest thing you'll notice is more bottom end.

Have a go on my ski next time we ride - If you go for an afternoon ride I might come up to Mangawhai on Friday.

yeah it's definatly worth doing, just have to bore bigger holes in your B pipe manifold to fit 760 cylinders ( cant run the standard 760 exhaust) if wanting to skim head it was easier to have a 701 head machined bigger than skimming the 760 head

... the 701 will really struggle to run the 155mm pump ( WB2 already underpowered with the 760) - sell the 701 motor, fit the 760 to SJ & buy my 1100 motor for the baster - then have 2 well powered skis :)

A 760 (proper 64x cylinder from WB2 / GP760) is not just a bigger bore, it has different port timing too.....the 760 isn't as snappy on the bottom as a 61x cylinder (superjet cylinder) but has alot more torque thru the mid etc.

so just depends on how you like your power, if you like it really snappy, bore your 61x barrel to 760cc ...if you like a more linear power go for proper 760 cylinder.

also if you taking an entire 760 setup it will have dual 44's and the digital electronics, rather than 38's and analogue....so keep in mind if you have an MSD enhancer it wont worth with the digital.

we run b rads 760 with 701 electrics and 38s and we all know
    how that goes
we changed taynes to simmiliar set up but with 44s so we could run msd
you may notice a drop in bottom end

If you want the best of both worlds do what knoxie did and go with the proper 760 barrel then counteract for the loss of snap by running an adjustable ignition and heaps of low end timing advance :D

its cost me around $700 to make my 701 into a 760 after machining, new pistons and gaskets i used a stock 760 head.
