carbon hull reinforcement (engine bay )

    Hey, just interested to no if anyone has done this on there ski's. if so how hard was it? if anyone has pics.
    keen to do it on my blaster im building up atm.

    ive done it on my superjet, used 2 layers of 400grm double bias carbon. Strong as, without alot of weight. Carbon uses less resin than glass, but a bit harder to work with.
    its not that hard unless your an ammatuer at glassing. Just be sure to prep the surface well, carbon doesnt flex like glass so if the adhesion isnt great, it will pull away from the hull.

    yeah pretty normal to reinforce the sides & nose, bascially the idea is to fill the bond line the glass / carbon the full sides.

    ive got some pics somewhere ill try find em and post them up.
