Just broke my primer knob off at the weekend. Has anybody tried the bulb type primers? they look good and would be a bit less vulnerable, but have heard that they can go brittle and leak fuel out into the tray?
yep, we have them on a couple of our skis, they work great and have had no problems with them at all. It would take a long time for them to go brittle, and that would still be longer than a plunger one lasts. I've got a couple of spares $18 incl postage if you want one.
drill a small hole thru the metal rod that the knob broke off of and put a key ring round thing on it and use that
