Yeah, the guy with the hummer trucks bought it off me. Called me up about 3 months after he bought it said I'd sold him a dud, turned out the battery lead had broken off the starter motor - not something I would have known was going to happen....anyway, he'd towed it across a lake and left it sitting for a while (the spark plugs were wet) after that so I had wondered if it had survived. Knoxie had replaced the crank etc prior to me owning it, so it should have been in pretty good running order.
I'd say Knoxie is possibly right, if both cylinders are the same it might be the compression tester. I've been told that if the tester screw isn't the same length as the spark plug that small space can make a lot of difference in the compression test.
Things I reckon would make that an awesome ski: MSD enhancer (PM JETWERKS, pretty sure Roger has em), twin 38 carbs (the oversized carb on that ski is a bugger to tune) and put a round nose pole on it. Do all that and it'd be a pretty decent ski. Wish thats what I'd done rather than sink heaps of $$ into a new ski.

Will be shorter, I always found that pole way too long....doubt you'll ever break it though! Ask high-flyer, he broke his S/N pole and fitted a R/N pole.
