im in the market for a new battery after my one decided to die. it had a good run its stamped 2005. ive got it on the charger now and hope its all good by tomorrow.

i had a look around and found a century one which is sealed but its 12v18ah, will this one be fine for my superjet or will i have to stick to a 12v16ah?

Hey....a few of us have had battery troubles...wearing them out quickly.....they take a fair pounding in the surf and plates come apart...

Me and 'Loose as Lucas' are currently trying a drycell battery http://www.batterydirect.co.nz/vertex_drycell_battery.htm

I spoke to the guy and he said he can do these for the lower 'car club' price he has for us guys...

so far so good but we only got them a few weeks ago......

The group I ride with use 'Deka' batteries. These are original fitment for Harley's, apparently.

We've had ZERO problems with them. They hold a charge forever, starters spin with 'authority' and the terminal mounts are perfect (a solid, square post threaded to accept the terminal bolt - so simple, but works perfectly).

The only issue is price - $185 Aussie last I looked.

The dry cell battery mentioned previously looks good. I'm just concerned with the terminal mounts (they look a bit light duty to me).
