Maybe you should man up captn. Muriwai is beach launch in front of the 4wd access, we have totes so launching is easy, surf was 2-3 foot with the odd 4 foot set, flattened out at low tide though.
looks like we gona head to prot waikato tomorrow....so far its me, rumble & lucas.......so probably usual meeting place ( BP drury) around 9ish .......... conditions are all looking good for port tomorrow ...
Dax, Knoxie, Rumble & I met at BP & headed to the Port about 10ish, was big & got bigger as the day went on, Rumble broke his pole at the steering end - Wow UMI !! and from just riding around he reckons :lol:, later we headed to Tuakau for our traditional flush but ended throughing our skis into the drink and exchanged rides a few times, had a Good Sunday.
Great day out at Port Waikato, well it was when we got there anyway...and I'm sure Rumble aint too thrilled with umi at the moment, first time I've seen a wrecked alloy pole! Got to see an old house burn to the ground out at Tuakau also, about 3 fire appliances out there, all that was left was the chimney. Looks like an awsome day! some pretty sweet stabs there the old man's finally said yes to the east coast for me but now it comes down to gas LOL how much do yo guys spend norm a day round to paunui or mangawai? like car gas?
Hey Jet Fish - depends on what you drive, but for me its about a 200km ish round trip to M/heads from N.S (Ack) plus ski gas - 1 -2 tanks, depending on conds - maybe send a post out & someone going up may have a double trailer & chip in for gas - may work out cheaper for you - see you at Mangawhai.
ToyBota Rav4 (he waits for the sarcastic reply) yeh it cost me 50 to get home from taupo, so whats that about 80-ish to paunui return + 2 tanks ski =I hate being a student
pauanui & back in my skyline towin 2 skis prolly about $60 gas ...then whatever in the ski. 140km to pauanui...

I put $40.00 in my mums car when i head down to Puaunui and that seems to get me there and back, then theres petrol for the ski, that usually is 60-70 (damn 98 )
Capt and I did a mission drive from Gisborne the other day and got to the Bombay hills on one tank of gas!! It cost about 60 bucks to fill! GO THE LIBERO!!
