your right it is a nice ski sorry out of my price range
  5. You'd be better of buying tofa's ski than some old shitta that will end up costing you more in the long run. Old/cheap skis are more trouble than they're worth, everytime you want to ride it and it won't start and you'll be kicking yourself..

Yeah you are better to pay more for a ski that you know will run. Atleast if you buy Tofa's ski you have an awersome platform to learn on and you can mod it as you feel the need to.
How much you looking to spend $$$$$$???

    550s will continuously break down.

    650 is gutless.

    Go for Tof's

    Just sold the FX1

seriously tho the cheapest ski worth buying if you have a tight budget is a square nose 650 SuperJet. Then if you want to you can 701 it later on and put a pipe on it or whatever. And all the parts are still redily available on the shelf.

Agree those old 650 yamaha squares are the pick of the bunch, I had one way back when, and you couldn't kill it.

also they used the basically the exact same hull bottom up until this year.

the old 44/550 skis are getting thin on the ground and hard to find parts for
