hi there i recently went 4 a ski (by me self) and ski got away from me on a decent wave, it was upside down for about 4 minutes. i am running a fuel filter from the carbi to fuel tank ,but i have no water trap from pole breather to fuel tank do u guys use em(water traps) and does any1 vent there tank inside of engine bay away from water!? any ideas i jus wana know wat works well.
so water gets into tank from pole being under water an fuel tank still trying to draw air.... correct?

Yeah I still use a stock water trap but without the plug screwed in at the bottom i.e. it just drains automatically. If you put a water trap in then defo get the plug in as well.

You can vent inside your engine bay but its not recommended. Not much you can do if your ski is upside down for that long.

yea was 4mins bcaus i was in a ripp ididnt see :? anyway ... i cant see a problem with removing the pole breather because the 1 way valve lets air in but not gas fumes out, unless its fucked. thoughts ? im still undecided.

Take the bottle thats up you pole and cable tie it to your fuel lines at the top of your tank...You can still run the water trap if you want but not really needed this way but if you do... remove the screw from bottom like Dick said.

I have run all my skis like this for years and had no troubles.
