Just looking to see who is in the squad for demos on the water at this event, The guy running the deal in Tairua told me Norm has it sorted but as the racer side of the sport has fully dropped the ball, I want to make sure the demo's are still a go! The council have put up $3000 worth of prizes and I cant find out bugger all about whats happening. It would be a shame to see this offer crapped on. Its flat water but someone must be able to bust some moves or have a crack in the slalom just for show. Anyone know what's planned ? I can lock up ski's for the night if anyone needs it. Cheers.
Been moved a bit norm, there will be a real basic race track and slalom course set up for those that are keen There wil be a blaster class and 759 class on offer if anyone is interested. We are heading down to supporr our sport and taking surf skis so we can go for a ride while there, and show freeride skis while we are there Its seams a little disorganised but has the potential to be pretty cool
still in tirua steve just in a different location in harbour The gulf harbour event at hobbs wharf is totally different on this weekend
This 'real basic course' that has been set up.....can anyone rock up and have a blat or is it only organised races?? Im keen to have a whirl, but dont really have the safety gear / balls to enter an all out race. Frothing for this festival though, soooo daaaamn keeeen!

Hey Nic Tairua aimed mainly at people interested in getting into the sport. Its focus is on having a bit of fun, The track set up will be very basic, there will be a few seasoned racers there to give help and advice where required. this event has been put on by the locals to show they are a jetski friendly area, The weekend has many other activities going on. Plenty of surf riding to be had as well. might see you there
Did someone say there is prize giving at Shells "BOTH" nights and they have prizes for first to third in "9" classes most of which are just the have a go riders. Find a helmet and have a crack then hit the surf when you have had enough.
Was actually a fucken good weekend who knew knoxie has hidden racing ability shame he wasn't there to collect his prizes haha
