I've been looking at the Olympys or the Pentax W30...and even though the Olympys 725 is waterproof to 10M I think I'm gonna go for the W30 as it has 30 frames sec video. Anyone going out this weekend? I'm keen to give port Waikato a try as I haven't been out there yet. Usually go out Pauanui Bar, Raglan or somewhere boring and flat in Auckland! Pauanui/Tairua bar can be awesome, but is best on a low tide. Cheers Dax
I got the olympus 725 ....althought i think the current model now is the olympus 770 ....but I think they are pretty much the same spec......my video mode is 640x480 @ 15 frames/sec.... so the video on that pentax shud look a bit smoother. note that the clip on the video page has been dropped in size and quality when it was loaded for net viewing....but it was taken on my 725sw. your not thinking of going to a proper video cam in a waterproof housing??
I had thought of a proper diving camera as I've just started diving, but I think they'd be a bit bulky to carry while hooning around on the skis! The Pentax is pretty cheap too, 428 from Parallel Imported.
i brought the olympus 770 on the saturday before pauanui and am very happy with it. The pics on the previous on the previous page were taken with it.
