2010 Rickter FR-2 Carbon look hull.Knoxie pole, rrp carbon chin pad. This is the ultimate surf Rickter, Carbon over glass so its strong and looks amazing! This is not a lightweight hull, it's designed for surf and free-ride not flat water. Best handling ski I have ever ridden in the surf, refuses to nose dive and lets you get right into the wave face. This ski costs $8000 AUD as a bare hull and hood with foot holds. $9000 as complete ski less motor, pump and electrics.
Yeah, the rocker makes a huge difference on the Rickter, you can really get into the wave. I dont really want to sell the Rickter as its the best thing I've ever ridden, but I have a medical condition called Poly Mialgic Rumatica and it makes it bloody hard to ride a stand up, so the blaster will be easier on the body. If it doesn't sell then I'll keep it tucked away till I'm feeling better(1 1/2- 2 years apparently)
I recon that my old blaster was harder on the body in the surf than my superjet. Your pretty much standing on the blaster all the time in the surf anyway. My five cent worth.
Would also consider selling the Rickter as a complete ski. $15,000. 2010 FR-2 Carbon look Rickter Group -K 845 on standard bore (built by Roger Parker) 760 FP manifold with Mod chamber Jetworks flowvalve Lightened oem flywheel Dual 44's (best jetted ski you'll ride!) MSD enhancer Pod filters Thoughts anyone?
Group-k is a company in the US, owned by Harry Klemm, that specialises in modifying Yamaha jetski motors. The 845 is their latest and top of the line kit for 701/760 twins. They re-sleeve with replacement liners(88and 89mil bore) port them to spec, modify the head to suit, epoxy, port and bore the crankcases to take the larger sleeves, fit bigger pistons and away you go. Fantastic linear power and lots of it, but really easy on the rider.
Thanks for the encouragement Norm, but I should probably concentrate on not falling off it in a straight line first I'm quite happy just looking at its shiny awesomeness in my garage at the moment!
awesome stuff well done dazza shame to have to give it up Steve - saw you doing some mint surf riding on it that time out at port.
