They dont squirt water out the back, they fire LASER BEAMS!!

They would be terribly underpowered and unreliable as they have kawi 550 engines and the hull looks a lot bigger than a normal 550

Is that twin exhausts out the back?
sort of look like an SXR Shape at the tray sides.

There were 2 models: thunderjet F14 & thunderjet F15 brought out by a company called laserjet, they used PJS 550 reed motors (based on a kawasaki 550 but with 750 sized reed cages and massive ports)

the f14 had a viper 5000 single carb (rated at 50hp) the f15 had a viper 7000 dual carb (rated at 70hp)

they had lotsa gimmicks ...like solar panels on the pole for changing the battery, dual exhausts....

i used to have a viper 7000 in my js550, these motors could pull the big rpm (like 9000ish)...just hard getting it to hookup at low speed with the crappy 440 pump.

so what has to be done to the 5000 motor to make 70hp? just dual carbs or is there more to it than that?

not really to sure ..the dual carbs were 38's ...not sure what size the single was.

Those PJS cylinders came out with different porting specs.......so maybe a difference there too....

they are pretty rare.....you would be relying on kawasaki 550 parts.

much better off with a yamaha
