Magicseaweed.com was forecasting near perfect 10 foot swell for 11am Saturday, so we thought we'd head out and see what we found. The waves were epic, but unfortunately there were a dozen or so surfers already there, so we waited for them to get tired and headed out about 1pm. Shingles beach is a random place, it is situated just up from the Mouth of the Buller River, so most of the time it's river water (So fresh!) rather than sea. Anyhow, these pictures have been taken from the road on the flood walls. The 96 Waveblaster is lokey, Superjet is fail_boat and the 95 is myself. Another mate was out on his 96 Blaster as well but some how we didn't get any pics of him. Couple of bits of carnage, first lokey sucked up some debri, only a stick so nothing major, next bit of carnage was my face: That's why you wear helmets. Oh well, four stitches later and I'll be out again today.
shingle beach there was always good dumping waves and rolling swells there. You still have to dodge toilet paper and turds  or is the new treatment plant stopping that?
Teeth are sharper than they appear! I got quite vertical (Like in the above series of photos of lokey), I still have the standard mats, which to put it bluntly, are now crap. Just totally lost my footing and came straight down on the bar pad. Had to wait around four hours to get seen by a doctor as well, on the upside she was pretty awesome, heh. Haha, treatment plant is up and working, it's amazing how much the area has already cleaned up. Got some more pics from today, weather was a shit load nicer, but the swell was smaller. That wasn't really such a bad thing as we were all sore as hell from the day before, heh. I decided to wear a helmet this time, heh.
Milburn V Jetski spewing didnt get any pics of me jumping at the wake off the milburn carrier - that was awsome - and the pics of us jumping at same time but all good still mint pics
