Bloody wicked day, huge turnout, huge conditions and carnage to match... hope ya ankle heals quick AJ, sorry to hear its so serious - you were in pretty good spirits on the drive back considering what shape ya were in.

My camera footage was pretty average, haven't had a chance to have a good look at it yet but I didn't catch much good footage from a quick glance.
  6. Sick ride in massive waves with a good turn out!
Stink about your ankle AJ I guess those frozen peas weren't really going to cut it....

    See you all next time.

Hey AJ. sorry to hear about the ankle. sounds gnarly though, you can say you were jumping massive waves.
Give me a shout on 021-750315 when you're feeling up to it to check out those pipes. Cheer's Steve

The white water surf in the last pic looks big. Does port get really big surf? I have not seen surf like that in NZ since I left South Africa

Is that Sickboi pulling back flips. looks massif

All the west coast beaches get big surf alot of the time....the pictures are a bit deceiving.....the wave faces were easily 3 to 4 meters ...the pictures make it look alot smaller

It was hard case given there was 22 skis that while brad and i where walking along the beach we could only see 1 or 2 of you at any one time

Wow I’m going to need a lot of riding practise before I head into that water.

Start in the smaller surf and work your way up to this size...You dont have to put yourself in the face of danger on day one...Also ALWAYS ride with someone and if your ski's like Aquanob's ALWAYS carry tools and a tow rope lol.
