They chase you in their inflatable and tell you its a 5 knot zone in the whole of the auckland harbour and if your ski is registered.

If you stay to the Birkinhead side of the Bridge you should be sweet and jump the boat wakes from the launches coming from west harbour but all tthe descent wakes come from boats and ferrys out from west haven heading towards Rangi.

You shouldn't have a problem if you stay to the west side of the bridge.

Well that sucks, Can they give you a fine for an unregistered ski? Most of my freinds reckn they cant legaly give you a fine and that its bull shit...?

Sat looks good for me, sundays probly out for me.

They can give you a fine, Just ask rick he got one sometime last year :) They usually just give you the papers and tell you to fill them in when you get back home. I think you would have to catch one of the officers on a bad day for them to give you a fine.....

most used excuses are as follow:

*Im on holiday and live south of the waikato region
*I have just got the ski and havnt yet had the chance to fill out the forms
*I didn't realise it was neccessary for them to be registered

    all work rather well apparently

Supercross is on saturday so hopefully if I get a chance to my ski back together il be good for sunday.
If there are heaps of people riding it should reduce the chance of being the dude that gets the fine from the cops when we all scramble!
