I went to pull my engine out yesterday and the only mount that was still holding it in place was 1 that i had replaced a few weeks ago.
They were all sweet before my last ride on sunday, which was by no means extreme, found a couple of tiny waves for some small nose stabs and never hit the bottom.

From what everyone says OEM mounts are meant to be good, should they all fail this easily?
They didnt tear, just the top plate has pulled out of them.
Is that how they usually break?
    See pic.

I have 2 new oem mounts, so do i buy 2 more and stick with them or are the cold fusion ones the way to go?
Obviously if I go to CF ones i'll have to do all 4 at once i guess?

Dont belive that shit sickboi...they are good mounts but still move enuff that they break couplers...ALWAYS run keeps if your doing flips and stabs.

Im running GP1200 mounts and so far have lasted well over a year

people always think they break all their mounts at once, but in reality the mounts will be already broken, or delaminated to some degree at least, they just dont get checked properly.

OEM are generally pretty good ...but only last a season if you ride a reasonable amount...

    those cold fusion ones seem like a better design ( the metal hooks into the rubber more)...but people seem to be breaking them;

but sounds like cold fusion is replacing under warranty...

also I dont know about not using engine keepers....they limit the foward movement of the engine to stop the couplers coming apart....when the mounts break OR stretch...and those cold fusion ones seem to be able to stretch quite far http://youtu.be/Z_opeTUwm74

    do they bolt straight in?

Yes...They are 1mm higher than SJ mounts so you just push them out as far as they go on the holes and seem to work fine...Ive have read on the x that some guys get them milled 1mm but mine seem to fit straight in...And they are cheaper than superjet mounts

I had the same problem last ride, broke three mounts and the engine moved so much it dislodged my hood, broke my latch, bent the front hooks and smashed my intake. I hope like fuck these new CF mounts are better than OE. Am putting them in today so fingers crossed.

tayne fucked all his OEM mounts in his stock race boat

we been running the cold fusion mounts and they seeam to be doing the trick but remember because they stretch they will do damage if you dont have keepers
listen to Tofa he a wise man ( didnt call you old)
also running GP 1200 mounts for the last year and hung in well

Colf fusion are replacing my mounts but I found these. They have a life time warrant and are $120 USD for four of them. You just have to send your broken mounts as an exchange as he uses the bases. Looks good and cheeper than CF.
They also do mid shaft housings for 175 USD inc bearings and seals.

    Google RHAAS products.

Hey Steve, werent thay warrantying those cold fusion mounts that were breaking????

yeah i had some molds made and and had some urethane mounts like those molded up ....but they went rock hard after a few days.......the urethane moulder claimed it must have been wrong mix and did them again for me ...but same thing....then kinda lost interest....might try again at a different company.
