bilge switches

    those who cheep out and get the switches from dick smiths or wear ever it is where do u get them from, which 1s do u get also where do u mount them?

    i use one out of old start/stop switch.

    Just get any normal switch with built in wires not push on type and use one of those rubber boots and then poo the whole thing up all over with a bunch of silicone and leave it overnight then install it. If you do it right it will be good for a year.

    Rough as guts but cheap about $6 finished

    got that switch.....had to wire the brains straight to battery . nice waterproof design .....15 bucks well spent ;)

    Did u run a fuse between the batt and switch?

    no.....should i? how many amp? thanx

    from memory it was a 5A 250v fuse... could be wrong though

    1A is likely heaps..

    a rule 550gph has a recomendation of a 4 amp fuse.
