    Hi there,

I just got myself a Blaster 1 and have trashed the pump duct. Does anyone on here have an alloy one for sale or know anywhere local that I can get one?

they only make one for the superjet, but it can be used on a blaster. I have the same problem with mine, so I'll get one made, will let you know what it's worth.

They only break for two reasons, doing the bolts up too tight or using too longer bolts.

Yeah would say hitting rocks has claimed atleast 4 intake ducts with our mates

Who ever owned my superjet b4 me welded a aluminum tab on to the intake grate which then over laps on to my ride plate where it is attached using two counter sunk hex head bolts

    now that's genius!!

I've mostly finished the pattern, hoping to take it to the foundry on thursday.

it's possibly worth noting that my pattern is based on a blaster pump shoe, a little width taked out of the wings, and mostly intended to fit a worx intake. However once cast in Ali, much carving can be done to modify the intake shape.

My pump duct was already broken and had been glued back together then had a piece of aluminium cut to fit between the grate and the pump duct that extended out to the rear and the ride plate was bolted over the top of it. This looked to be working well, but resulted in a big crack in the ride plate and also made the back of the grate sit a bit lower than I wanted it to, so I made some modifications of my own. Unfortunately they didn't work very well ... but at least I didn't lose my grate!

My solution is now on the way though - Finally! I ordered an alloy one from Blowsion, and even though they had them in stock they still waited 2 weeks to ship my order. I was going to cancel my order, but it is in the air between Honolulu and Auckland so its too late now.

So whats the best way to attach it to my ski - do I glue it on or use silicon?

I broke the duct on my blaster just before xmas, got Roger to bring over a Jet Dynamics alloy duct, took a little bit of grinding to make it fit properly as they are designed for superjets but it hooks up mint now, it feels better than the stocker did before it broke.
